Whether you're in Lamoille County visiting family, exploring the many hiking trails, active in winter sports, or just on a relaxing weekend getaway, our cozy country cottage is perfect. It sits beside our home on 58 acres of beautiful Vermont forest. Our cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom, and an open space with a kitchen and living room. We are a relaxed and friendly family dedicated to the comfort of our guests.
Even though our cottage is conveniently located near Route 100, it sits on a quiet back road surrounded by woods. Hyde Park is surrounded by diverse landscapes that provide opportunities for outdoor adventures all year round! Lake Eden is only a twelve minute drive, and is a popular summer destination for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and picnicking. We are also located close to a wide variety of hiking trails for all experience levels. This is also a convenient location if you are interested in skiing or snowboarding because some of the best can be found less than 45 minutes away! Smuggler's Notch is only a 30 minute drive (19.6 mi), and Stowe (24.1 mi) and Jay Peak (28.5 mi) are both only 40 minutes away! There is also wonderful cross country skiing and snow shoeing at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, which is only 30 minutes away (17.8 mi). There are also many wonderful companies that produce and sell their products in the area, some examples are: The Johnson Woolen Mill, Vermont Flannel Company, Cabot Creamery Annex, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and Store, local breweries. and the Boyden Valley Winery.
