Perfect for a romantic ski weekend, a multifamily gathering, a girls' weekend or a writers retreat. In the summer, the swimming holes and tubing on the river can not be beat. This is our second home so you have full access to the entire home while you are there. Please make yourselves comfortable!
One king sized bedroom, one queen bedroom and 9 bunks in 2 bedrooms, this is great for a couple of families. We matched the 1971 style of the house with vintage original and modern classic furniture.
The kitchen is stocked with every cooking tool for full family-style meals. The new kitchen appliances will satisfy any aspiring home chef. Gas stove and fridge with ice machine so you can always have your adult bev on the rocks. Charge your devices on the kitchen peninsula with our USB wall dock.
The floor to ceiling slate fireplace is really the centerpiece of the home. You will find plenty of dry and ready wood pre-stocked under the hearth's ledge- with back-up in the basement fireplace. The new propane heating keeps the place more than comfortable, so the fireplace is really just for ambiance. In the summer, the breeze is divine. Plenty of board games and books stock the shelves.
Guests have access to the whole home including high efficiency washer and drier.
We are located mid-way up Mad River Glen (ski mountain). Just a 0.1 mile jaunt uphill to the parking lot at top of the bunny hill ski lift and a quick 1 minute ride down to the main lot. 14 minutes to Sugar Bush and 10 minutes to the delicious Mad Taco. The house sits on a lot that overlooks the mountains and woods and is very private, yet we are close to everything. Hiking minutes up the hill or straight out of the house, tubing on the river and all the downtown amenities are just 10 minutes away. Mad River Glen and Sugarbush resorts offer many recreational programs beyond the ski season including Tennis, Rock climbing and swimming.
We are a family of artists living in Boston. We fell in love with this area when we spent some time at Yestermorrow in 2013. Each season has something very special to enjoy. We are so pleased to share our home in this amazing area with you. Let us know what gems you find!
