Our home, Bywater, provides easy access to Stowe without Stowe prices. We are located on Lake Elmore, with a private wooded lot and small private beach. Wifi and Satellite TV included. We have a 3 season sleeping porch, a deck facing the lake and Elmore Mountain with a full farmers porch on the back of the house.
Vaulted two story open concept kitchen/living area with an interior balcony overlooking the first floor. Wooden ceilings and radiant heat throughout. Wide pine flooring on two floors. The kitchen has cherry cabinets, soapstone counters, and all stainless appliances including Dishwasher, Range Hood and microwave.
Bywater is an architect designed new home, with 4 bedrooms, and 3 full baths. Master Bedroom on the first floor with attached full bath and Queen bed. Guest Room on the ground floor with Queen Bed and a door open to the Lake. Separate game room with sliding door opening to the lake attached to bedroom on ground floor, with satellite TV as well as a laundry room with washer/dryer. On first floor, a large bath room with Granite Counter-tops, Dual Sinks, and a walk in tiled shower which is adjacent to the Master Bedroom. Slate floors in 2 bathrooms. 2 Bedrooms on second floor, The Girls Room has French doors opening onto the balcony with views of the downstairs, lake and mountain. It is equipped with a single bed and a bunk bed. The Boys Room has one full size bed, two single beds and incredible views of the lake and Mountain through the dormer.
There is also a sleeping porch (3 season) with a single bed. 55' TV with satellite, DVD player and surround sound n the living room. Hubbarton Forge lighting throughout. Private lot surrounded by woods on 3 sides and the lake on the fourth, Outdoor fire pit in the yard and gas grill on the deck. Dock for fishing, swimming, kayaking, SUP or just relaxing on. The small private beach is perfect for young children. The Elmore State beach is 1/4 mile away, with it's State Park for Pic Nics and hiking the mountain.
Proximity to Stowe is one of our homes assets, but you can also have a great vacation in Elmore. It's a simpler way of life in our small town. Fall foliage is spectacular. There are plenty of winter activities in Elmore: the snowmobile trails (VAST) run through the lake. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing are all available on the lake.
