The home is located in "CATSKILL PARK", only five mile away from the #1 most visited state park in New York, "NORTH SOUTH LAKE" where you can camp, picnic, hike, swim, sail, canoe, kayak or just experience the beautiful view of the "CATSKILL MOUNTAINS". Also, the home is 6 mile drive to the "KRT" trail where you can hike to the historical "Kaaterskill Falls" or hike on another nearby state trail. And, if you enjoy music, you can attend the "TAP NY" beer and food festival in May or "MOUNTAIN JAM" in June or "TASTE OF COUNTRY" music festival. These special events are held at "Hunter Mountain" ski resort and home of the largest Zipline in North America. And, if you have a passion for professional horse jumping, you can attend the "HITS" Saugerties series in Saugerties, New York which is only fifteen miles away. Then, in Hudson Valley, there is the "Franklin D. Roosevelt" mansion, the "Mills Mansion", "Thomas Cole Mansion", "The Vanderbuilt Mansion", The "Rockefeller Estate", "The Montgomery Place Historical Estate", "The Olana State Historical Site" and many more!! It's a great place to stay and experience all the historical areas of the mountain top and the surrounding "Hudson Valley". The apartment is very spacious, secluded and safe with plenty of room for children to play. We have enjoyed this area most of our life's and have raised our kids up here, so I am sure you will too!
