Enjoy our 2 BR traditional Maine shore cottage with spectacular views of Petit Manan Island lighthouse, Bois Bubert Island, Pigeon Hill Bay and the north Atlantic. Cottage sits on 1 3/4 acres with over 350 feet of rocky and sandy Maine shore just steps from the front door. Our cottage is located within one hour of Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park at the gateway to Downeast Maine and Maritime Canada. Spend a week or a month exploring our Maine coast paradise and the North Woods.
Couples only. Cottage sleeps a couple comfortably in choice of two accommodations. (queen bed in master bedroom; two twin beds in 2d upstairs BR) and has a full kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Master BR connects directly to full bath with secondary access for all guests. 120 channel satellite TV for those rare instances when you can pull yourself away from the spectacular beauty of Petit Manan Point. WiFi access to the internet is available in the cottage. NO PETS ALLOWED.
Cottage is located on a quiet, dead end, two lane rural road 1/2 mile from the entrance to the Petit Manan (Coastal Islands) National Wildlife Refuge, home to more wild bird sightings than any other NWR. Enjoy shore walks in the Refuge and wildlife cruises to nearby islands where you can see puffins, terns, and whales. Lounge in front of our cottage's 25' of continuous windows overlooking Pigeon Hill Bay and the north Atlantic where you can regularly see bald eagles, ospreys, loons, cormorants, buffleheads, eiders, and dozens of other sea birds. Occasional deer, porcupine, fox, Maine black bear and moose sightings in the woods depending on season. Song birds, spruce grouse, flickers, and woodpeckers populate the Refuge and nearby woods. All in all, Petit Manan Point is a nature lover's paradise.
