Nestled between the Catskills and the beautiful farmland of the Hudson Valley, this 4 bedroom home is large and comfortable. In summer, enjoy the saltwater pool with blue-stone patio set in a wildflower meadow. In all seasons, you will enjoy what the Hudson Valley has to offer. Dog friendly, so bring your dogs and let them run around on our beautiful 8 acre property!
Pool is heated and is open Memorial Day - Labor Day.
We are 4 miles from the town of Stone Ridge so very near to a great grocery store, liquor store, pet store, as well as a farm Stand, Chinese food, sushi, pizza, coffee and more. There are more restaurants in the neighboring towns of Rosendale & High Falls. Uptown Kingston is about a 10 minute drive and Woodstock, New Paltz & Rhinebeck are all under 30 mins away.
The layout is great for entertaining and hosting groups of friends or family. In addition to the eat-in kitchen area, there is a living room with a wood-burning stove as well as a separate dining room and a library / office. Bedroom 4 is large and very kid-friendly, it has a queen bed + 2 twin beds and has been used to either hold a bunch of kids or parents with young children who would like to all be in the same room.
You will need a car at this property but if members of your party are arriving separately, there are multiple public transportation options. Take the Adirondack Trailways bus to Rosendale or Kingston or take Amtrak to Rhinecliff. All of these are about 20 minutes from the house. There is room for parking for 3-4 cars.
There is a large flat field, suitable for sports of all kinds (soccer goals are there now) as well as a salt-water in-ground pool with a bluestone patio, fenced for safety, open in the summer months.
The property is NOT suitable for parties, events or groups of 20 or more.
