Summary: This house was exactly as described—very clean and well-stocked, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It sits on a stunning, peaceful lake, and we loved using the fire pit every night. Being the last house on a dirt road, we truly felt tucked away in nature, which is exactly what we wanted. Our dogs had the time of their lives swimming and exploring, and we enjoyed peaceful mornings and evenings listening to the owls and loons.We took the rowboat out for a bit of fishing—no luck, but as they say, it’s called fishing, not catching. A brief power outage due to high winds was handled quickly and professionally—the owner responded right away and kept us informed until everything was back on.Some past reviews mentioned uncomfortable beds, but we didn't find them to be an issue. The main bed did squeak a little, but nothing that affected our sleep. There’s no reason that should keep anyone from booking this place—we had a great time.It’s a true backwoods retreat, so you may encounter a few spiders or other critters, but nothing unexpected for a home in the woods. The sunroom-style space with screens was a perfect spot to relax away from the bugs and enjoy the view.We’ll definitely be back!
