The Modern Farmhouse in Stowe sits atop 10.5 acres of finely manicured mountain landscaping and enjoys panoramic mountain views. The Modern Farmhouse is located at the end of a long private drive just off of Mountain Road. As you make your way up towards the house, the adjacent Vermont barn-style garage provides both rustic charm and covered parking for three automobiles. The house has 3 bedrooms that can sleep up to 8, and there is also a sleeper sofa available in a shared living spare.
The Space:
Inside, enjoy all the comforts of home paired with the latest in modern conveniences-- a fully equipped kitchen including stainless steel appliances, gas range and has an in-counter downdraft for the cooktop, Nest thermostat, gas fireplace and heated tile floors. Kick back and take a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub while soaking in the spectacular mountain view or settle into the den with a selection of books and games for your entertainment. The game room and lounge area is equipped with a 60 inch Samsung 4KTV with Apple TV, pool table, foosball table, and sectional sofa making it the ultimate hang out spot. Also please note that the Dish cable is not active. There is central air AC available in the summer months!
Outside, all 10.5 acres are yours to explore- including granite paths, stone walls, sculptures, waterfalls, two ponds and tea house. Located just a short drive to Stowe Mountain Lodge and 0.8 miles from the shops and restaurants on Mountain Road, the Modern Farmhouse offers everything you could want for a peaceful family vacation or adventure-filled mountain getaway!
The Neighborhood:
The house sits on 10.5 acres of lawn and forested woodlands. Situated right off one of the main roads into Stowe, yet nestled into many acres of wooded forest and a large pond surrounded by beautiful, mature pines and hardwoods. The home feels secluded but is only 1-2 miles into all that Stowe has to offer. We are nestled just below the Trapp Family lodge property so you can see the fireworks they put off for Summer and Winter events... such a treat.
DRIVING TO THE MOUNTAIN:
This property is 11 minutes from Stowe Mountain Resort (with no traffic). The mountain charges for parking on Friday, Saturday and Sundays but parking is free Mon-Thursday). This property is not within walking distance to a shuttle stop.
However, if you don’t want to pay for parking, we recommend the following options:
Park at one of the free lots closest to the mountain. There are two options, The Cross Country Center (5281 Mountain Road, Stowe) lot or the Toll House Lift Lot which is on your left as you get close to the mountain (but get there really early!). Once there’s enough snow and the Toll House lift is running you won’t have to take the shuttle to main lodge you can just ride the lift from there.
Or, drive toward the village (slightly away from the mountain) and park in one of the two lots there, The Stowe Town Hall (67 Main Street, Stowe) or the Stowe Events Field (667 Weeks Hill Road, Stowe).

Getting Around:
We are 1 mile from Mountain Road in Stowe, where you will find many restaurants and shops. We are 3 miles from the Village of Stowe, and 5 miles from the Stowe Mountain Resort, which is perfect for Summer adventures and Winter skiing/snowboarding. The location is ideal...close to everything yet peaceful and nestled in the woods.
