Enjoy a wonderful Cape Cod vacation in beautiful East Harwich, MA. Our 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 3-living room family home sits on just under two acres and has a large fenced backyard that features a 40' x18' in-ground pool with a slide and stairway. Our pool is typically open from early May through mid September. Just a few steps from the back door we have a year-round private hot tub that will accommodate up to six on our deck. Further accenting the back yard outdoor space, a custom stone walkway from the deck leads to a 500 sq. ft. stone patio with a fire pit that offers plenty of casual fireside seating. Perfect for family S'more time.

Our home is conveniently located within a short drive of both fresh water and salt water beaches. Quaint villages such as Harwichport, Chatham and Orleans are also very close by. Our home offers plenty of family space in the comfort of Central AC on the main floor with hardwood floors waiting to greet you for your family Cape Cod getaway. Not one, but two, large living rooms with hardwood floors and cathedral ceilings will greet you upon arrival into our home. The larger of the two living rooms opens up to both the kitchen and the dining area for easy and elegantly casual family meals. A stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the first floor and connects the main living room to the smaller living room with another fireplace. Both living rooms offer lots of living space and feature cathedral ceilings with comfy couches and chairs for relaxing in front of the TV or with a good book. Cable TV throughout the house is available for those days when the beach isn't an option or if you prefer to kick back and just relax inside. Our kitchen features a center island and has modern appliances including refrigerator/freezer, over-range microwave, dishwasher and a double oven. You'll also find a Keurig machine as well as a wine fridge for your convenience.

The first floor of our home offers sleeping for up to six in the comfort of Central AC. There are two bedrooms, each sleeping two. One bedroom has a good sized double bed while the other bedroom has a queen bed. Also on the first floor is a toy/play room with a sofa-chair that can open up to accommodate additional sleeping for one. At the end of the hall on the first floor you'll find "The Rockwell Room", a sunken bonus room featuring a large HD SmartTV and sectional couch for watching TV or movies. The Rockwell Room is decorated as a tribute to one of New England's most famous artists; Normal Rockwell, and features several of his most famous works including "The Four Freedoms". The Rockwell Room has a BluRay DVD player, high definition Xfinity with OnDemand* and NetFlix* access. A large collection of DVD's is also available. A number of games, some for the whole family, can also be found in the cabinets of the Rockwell Room. WiFi (up to 5G speed) will be available for the duration of your stay throughout our home. And what vacation home would be complete without card games and board games to fill the time when liquid sunshine makes a visit?

Our partially finished basement, though not equipped with AC, remains cool and comfortable during summer and offers two additional bedrooms that accommodate up to five. One bedroom has a Queen bed and a double bed while the other has a Queen bed and a Twin bed. Right between those two bedrooms you'll find a 3/4 bath with a shower.

The large backyard is completely fenced in for privacy as well as safety and offers plenty of room for kids - and adults - to run around. The in-ground pool, measuring approximately 40' x 18', offers convenient stairway entry to the shallow end (3') and features a gradual descent to the deep end (8'). A slide empties into the deep end. A security fence surrounds the pool to increase safety for when little ones are around. Plenty of seating in and around the pool area include tables for sitting poolside and loungers for soaking up the sun poolside. Our pool is not heated but due to it's position, is exposed to all day sun which typically keeps the water temperature during the summer months in the mid 80's. Enjoy a late night or early morning soak in our year-round hot tub that will accommodate up to six. An outdoor shower on the back deck will make it easy to rinse off between pool use & hot tub soaks and offers you the opportunity to truly experience another important detail of a traditional Cape Cod vacation. The large backyard is located conveniently off of the kitchen/dining area which makes prepping and serving food easy. A Weber grill is also available on the deck for grilling some locally bought, or freshly caught, seafood.

Our house is on a private road at the end of a cul-de-sac with easy access to and from Route 6, also known as the mid-Cape highway. Several beaches, both fresh water and ocean salt water, are just a short drive away. Ocean beaches can be found in Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Dennis or Yarmouth on nearby Nantucket Sound or in Brewster or Dennis on Cape Cod Bay. Some of those beaches are just a 10-minute drive from the house. Also, nearby Long Pond (the largest fresh water pond on Cape Cod) is only a short walk from the house and is a popular spot for fresh water kayaking, swimming and fishing. We have a large driveway with off-street parking that includes room for a boat up to 30'. Also nearby is the Cape Cod Rail Trail. From the house you can bike right to the Cape Cod Rail Trail which offers 22 miles of biking along the well maintained trail between Dennis and Wellfleet. This trail brings you through beautiful Cape Cod featuring exceptional views of cranberry bogs, quaint villages as well as fresh and salt water. Or, venture out onto the shorter branch of the Cape Cod Rail Trail and make your way into Chatham for shopping, dining, a baseball game or maybe a Friday night band concert. We're also just a short drive to ferry service to and from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. If whale watching is on your list of things to do, we're super close to that as well. A number of boat launches are within just a short drive and offer boating access to either Cape Cod Bay or Nantucket Sound.

The nearest supermarket is only two miles away. Equally close you'll find; pizza shops, sandwich shops, Asian food, a CVS, ATM's, banks, a post office, dry cleaners, liquor stores, ice cream shops, casual dining, gas stations, convenience stores, hardware store, etc. Not far away are several restaurants ranging from fast food to casual dining as well as fine dining. Souvenir shopping in quaint villages like downtown Chatham or Harwichport can be found just a short drive away. You will also find that we are conveniently located close to a number of baseball fields that host games for the Cape Cod Baseball League, the premier collegiate level baseball league in the country.

* - Our home is protected by an alarm system along with exterior security cameras.

* - In-ground pool is only available during summer rental periods, generally May 1st - Labor Day.

* - Hot Tub is available year round.

Unforeseen circumstances or situations beyond our control may result in the unavailability of certain amenities of our home. This can include equipment breakdown, mechanical failure, weather impacted issues or any other situation not reasonably foreseen. When this happens we will notify all confirmed guests as soon as we become aware of the issue. A refund, partial or otherwise, is not guaranteed but we will make every reasonable effort to ensure that your stay is not interrupted because of the issue.
