4BR/3BA farmhouse in the heart of the Fingerlakes. Large open floorplan with kitchen and big island that flow to the living room. The living room has a fireplace with TV above and two leather couches to kick back and relax. Glass sliders lead to a large covered-deck and the above-ground pool (open June 15th to September 15th). The deck has a Weber grill, picnic table, deck chairs, and swinging benches that are great for relaxing. The backyard has a firepit with Adirondack chairs.
The house is five minutes from Taughannock Falls State Park and within ten minutes of 35 award-winning wineries and vineyards. We are a fifteen minute drive to Cornell University, Ithaca College, Watkins Glen International Raceway, and the Ithaca Commons.
At home we enjoy the fireplaces in the winter months and the pool in the summer. Some of our favorite family memories are made at the fire pit out back roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. When the weather doesn’t cooperate with our plans we like to have board-game nights or watch a movie together on one of the big tv’s. We hope you enjoy these things, too.
If you’re venturing out of the neighborhood, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Trumansburg, Ithaca, and Watkins Glen provide endless opportunities to get outside and explore everything the Fingerlakes has to offer. The house is located smack dab in the middle of the Fingerlakes Wine Trail, home to 35 award winning wineries and breweries and countless restaurants. You won’t want to miss the Trumansburg Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings or the Ithaca Farmers Market on Saturdays and Sundays. There are seven golf courses within 20 minutes of the house including the award winning Robert Trent Jones championship course at Cornell University. The Ithaca Commons is an institution in itself and the endless gorges and hiking trails in Ithaca are breathtaking. Don’t forget to check out Taughannock Falls, the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi River.
