Each bedroom has a double bed and there is a pullout couch which can also sleep two people. Huge horseshoe driveway for trailering a boat (launch is less than 1 mile up road.) Large yard for kids to play, brand new stainless steel gas grill and brand new flat screen Amazon Fire TV. Happy to lend golf clubs. Bring your kayak and drop in at the boat launch nearby to enjoy beautiful views/mini islands (sandbar.) Quiet neighborhood with water views for strolling, jogging, cycling. Some beach toys/baby pool available. Cove Cottage is pet friendly and provides a great area for walking your dog.
Ample beaches are within a 2-3 mile drive. Harkness Memorial State Park, Ocean Beach (big boardwalk for strolling, music, movies on the beach, kids rides, mini golf, arcade), Waterford beach/-local beach and passes can be purchased at the gate for the day or week at a time and we also include a car pass to Ocean Beach. The quaint village of Niantic is also 3 miles away with charming shops, antiques, boardwalks, restaurants, and the Southern New England Childrens Museum. Try some sport fishing, or a nature cruise on one of the local charters (Sunbeam Fleet, Mijoy, Blackhawk). Mystic is a 15 minute drive with Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, Shopping, Restaurants. Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino's are also a 15 minute drive. You can easily do a day trip to Newport (1.5 hours), or catch the Ferry to Block Island, Martha's Vineyard. 2 hours to Boston or New York and a day trip to Newport is a breeze.
September is an ideal time for a beach vacation, the crowds have left but the warm weather remains. Fall, Winter, and Spring are great for enjoying walks on the beaches and area boardwalks. Come enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas at the Cove.
