Quintessential Maine farmhouse just extensively renovated. Open concept space with views of the ocean and marsh from every room. One of the only homes in Wells with direct access to the ocean and the marsh with its own private dock just across the street. Great for fishing and kayaking!
The main floor is newly painted and has all new furniture. The dining room overlooks the ocean with a table and 8 chairs, the living room overlooks the ocean and marsh, and the sun room is surrounded by windows overlooking the ocean. The first floor bathroom has a shower, new marble-topped vanity and laundry. The kitchen has not been fully renovated, but it is charming with all the necessities, a small table and 2 chairs and beautiful views through the dining room to the ocean and out back to the marsh. There is wireless internet, cable tv, dvd player, board games and books.
The second floor has 3 lovely bedrooms with bead board ceilings. The largest bedroom has 2 twin beds and views of the ocean and the marsh. The second bedroom has a full sized bed with side views of the ocean. The third bedroom has a queen bed and direct ocean views. All bedrooms have been newly painted and have new mattresses. This floor has a full bath with the original claw foot tub and a new marble-topped vanity. At the end of the hall is a window seat overlooking the ocean - the perfect spot to read a book or gaze at the ocean.
The third floor is a master suite with panoramic ocean views including a sliding glass door to its own balcony overlooking the ocean. It has a queen bed and a half bath.
Outside is a wraparound porch with rocking chairs, dining table and chairs, gas grill and an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
The property also has a small barn with kayaks, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach toys for your enjoyment. There is a beautifully maintained lawn providing plenty of room for children to play.
It is a 5 minute walk to the candy store, the arcade and the ice cream stand. Hannaford’s grocery store is at the end of the road so you don’t have to deal with Route 1 traffic to go shopping.
No parties or events, no smoking, and no pets are allowed anywhere on the property.
Bed linens, bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes are provided -- only need to bring beach towels.
