Summary: We are a group of women who went to school together in NJ, and now gather annually. We are seasoned, short stay renters. We have seen everything from worse than expected to astonishingly posh. This VT house is a lovely, old family home. It was like returning to Grandma’s house, except now we’re the Grandmas. The house could use some targeted refurbishing, as appliances and furnishings are worn. That said, it’s very comfortable. It felt like a warm hug, and the backyard is terrific. Our biggest recommendation is that the Owner (who is lovely and responsive) should provide a clean and empty fridge. After our shopping, we had a hard time figuring out which stuff was ours vs. hers or her family’s. We do recommend the home for anyone who wants a homey place to stay while snuggled under a throw and wearing sweats in front of a fire.
